Popular Fish Species
Largemouth Bass: Found around submerged structures, points, humps, and shallow grass beds. Best fished with topwater lures, swimbaits, crankbaits, or soft plastics.

Blue Catfish & Channel Catfish: Prefer deeper waters and structures; effective baits include cut bait, chicken liver, or stink bait.

Crappie (Black & White): Often near submerged trees, brush piles, or spawning sites; small jigs or live minnows work well.

Striped Bass: Typically found in deeper water, especially during cooler months; trolling live shad or using baitfish imitations is effective.

Sunfish & Redear Sunfish: Abundant in shallow areas; worms, crickets, or small jigs are recommended.

Other species: Flathead catfish, spotted bass, white bass, yellow perch, and common carp are also present.

Seasonal Fishing Tips
Spring: Bass move into shallow areas to spawn; crappie are near brush piles. Focus on vegetation and submerged structures.

Summer: Fish may move offshore into deeper, cooler water. Early morning or late evening is most productive. Bass often form large schools in 18–25 feet of water around points, humps, and brush piles.

Fall: Cooler temperatures increase fish activity; bass and crappie return to shallower areas.

Winter: Fishing slows, but bass and crappie can still be caught in deeper waters using slow-moving baits.
